She is vice-president of the board of directors of Capital Équitable, an investment fund dedicated to the development of fair trade and a board member of the local economic development corporation, CDEC Centre-Sud/Plateau Mont-Royal. She is co-founder of cataléthique , a network of professionals looking to integrate sustainable development into their practices, formerly a board member of the Canadian Social Investment Organization and Co-Chair of the Ethical Investors Group. Michael has an M. Sc. in Environmental & Resource Economics (University College London, 1995) and a B. Eng - Mechanical (McGill University, 1991).
Michael is also a Lead Counsel with the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law, focusing on research in the areas of CSR and trade law. Prior to immigrating to Canada, he served as legal advisor to the Australian Conservation Foundation where he led the foundation's work on environmental law and corporate social responsibility. He commenced his career as a corporate lawyer with the Melbourne based legal firm, Abbott Stillman and Wilson. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University, a Bachelor of Laws from Bond University, and a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney. He is a co-author of the book Corporate Social Responsibility: A Legal Analysis (LexisNexis 2009).
From 1999 to 2007, Catherine was director of the Montreal-based International Legal Resources Centre, a non-government organization specialized in helping countries address issues of justice, good governance, democratic development and corporate social responsibility. She has worked for a host of organizations, including the Canada's departments of Justice, Foreign Affairs, CIDA, Citizenship and Immigration, and the RCMP; Canadian and international NGOs, the United Nations, the Organization of American States, and the private sector. She has participated in various international missions around the world, and has conducted investigations or provided technical assistance for various projects in Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Peru, Haiti and Mexico. She is also the founder of the first international crimes legal clinic in Canada funded by the UN to assist victims of international crimes for which she received a mention of honor by the Quebec government in 2004. Catherine provides legal and policy advice concerning the rights, obligations and social responsibilities of corporations arising out of international and national laws as well as internationally recognized voluntary initiatives. She lectures on corporate social responsibility at the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM)'s faculty of law. Since 2003, she has been a consultative member of UQAM's Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Chair. She provided legal expertise for the publication, Canadian Energy and Mining Companies: Navigating International Humanitarian Law in the 21st Century.

CR Strategies helps organizations manage the emerging risks and opportunities that come with heightened societal concerns about social and environmental issues. The firm’s services are designed to help its clients merge social, environmental and business imperatives by integrating social responsibility into their core business practices; thereby building public trust and strengthening their reputations and brands. As managing partner at Jantzi Research, Rob led the development of Canada`s most comprehensive criteria for monitoring and evaluating the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance of corporations. He also directed the firm`s research process, thereby overseeing the evaluation of thousands of Canadian and international corporations. Rob has also played an important role in the growth and development of the SRI industry in Canada. He has advised some of Canada’s largest institutional investors and played a key role in the development and maintenance of the Jantzi Social Index®— the first common stock index in Canada comprised only of companies that satisfy a comprehensive set of ESG rating criteria. Rob has an MBA, with a concentration in Business and the Environment, from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a Bachelor of Arts, with a concentration in International Economics, from the University of Western Ontario. Laurence is the creator of L’écolo-sacMD , a tool to educate the Quebec public in waste reduction and employment issues in the textile industry. Laurence was Les Affaires' Personnalité de la Semaine in 2008 and was also awarded the Finaliste Développement Durable Desjardins prize.
